Good morning, Steve & Tracy I came across your site this morning and thought what a lovely thought to have memorial page, i lost my best friend Churchill last Wednesday 10th dec, he had been part of the heart of my family for 15 years, and we miss him so much. Like keetch he would come everywhere in the car with me, sitting in passager seat like the proud owner of the car (sometimes old bangers lol), we were lucky enough to have all of last summer with him on lots of camping trip, which he loved. As we knew he was getting old and he had been diagnosed with cancer beginning of year, so we never went abroad this summer stayed at home with him. I wanted to write a memorial to him, and write about his funny little ways, as i am frighten of forgetting, things like the way he hated peas, amazing how he ate everything on a plate spitting peas all over the room lol, he used to pick his water bowl up a tip it over if the water wasn't cold, wouldn't drink warm water, the way he used to bury rock in the sea weed on the beach, problem being seaweed is the same colour as Churchill, and you think u'd lost him because you couldn't see him next to sea weed, he was quite lazy as he got older not getting out of bed till 11am, then walking in front room looking at you, as if saying deh deh, here i am, as if i hadn't seen him for months lol. these are just some of the many happy memories myself and my family have of Churchill. Even at the end bless him he had 5 women crying over him when he finally went to sleep at home, my mum, myself and daughters, plus the vets nurse! ( he always like female attention lol)and everyone had a chance to say good bye, to a legend in mine, my family’s and friends life. No one could ask for a more loyal and loving friend, who will be missed for a long time, and will always be remembered to us as the best dog in the world, and could never be replaced. I have included some pictures of Churchill, i think these picture sum up Churchill’s personality perfectly, chilled, cheeky and adventurous. It would be lovely to have memorial page for Churchill.
